Of course there's a manual there, and not for parts...just read Basic Refrigerator Servicing .

If you noticed the rules to this forum in the first section, you will see that one of the few things I cannot help you with directly is appliances in Canada, since none of my parts sources ship there. There is nothing I can help you with other than the generic advice I already have available.

Good luck figuring out the issue...I'm sure you probably should start with the compressor diagnostics and/or the defrost section as a starter once you open the free manual.

Well, I am in St. Stephen, New Brunswick Canada, but my postal code is E3L 3Z5. I am close to 04619 in Maine, but I am not sure if I can get cross-border repairmen.

I have been looking for the manual and all I have found so far is an awesome parts list.
Basically, my fridge tips are on the main website. http://repair2000.com/nocool.html

What I would do is drift down to the Repair Manuals Forum and look at the Whirlpool manuals there to get an idea how to diagnose them. As the disclaimer states, you must have meter and tools if you need technical help, as testing is required.

Certainly there are other repair folks besides the one you called. Give me your zip code and I will look for you

I recently purchased a house with a Whirlpool Gold Model number GS6SHEXML00. The fridge doesn't cool, the freezer side doesn't either.

There are no service technicians locally where I live except for $75 guy - I had him come to fix my washer and he charged me $75 to tell me my motor was blown (knew that!) and a new washer was only $369.

So, any ideas for what I could look at or try to fix? Thanks!
