We just moved into a new house and the oven here didn't have a manual with it. Today after a brief power surge the oven/ range has been reading loc and we don't know how to unlock it. Any help would be appreciated
thanks

So you're saying that the power surge mysteriously caused the door to lock?

If you can open the lower drawer, please get the model number and the brand name so I can look at this for you!

The oven thinks the door is not unlocked. This can be because the oven control (clock) got zapped during the surge, or there may be an issue with the door lock switches themselves. There's a wiring diagram under the lower drawer or on back of it that has a mini manual inside for diagnostic purposes.

May I recommend the generic range manual put out by Whirlpool:

Range Manual
