If your icemaker is not working, here's a quick video to show you how to find the solution. This also helps rule out a bad water valve.

I'd like to add one more note to the ending of this video, which suggests that if there is no water flow when you jumper the V and L contacts to replace the water valve. Before replacing the valve, make sure that the fill tube where the water comes into the freezer to the icemaker is not frozen up.
