Sounds like a defrost issue or a blocked defrost drain in the freezer. I always take the inside panel off at the back of the freezer to inspect for this. Why not do so and report back what you see? _________________ Forum Rules |Parts |Donate |

Are you second-guessing me?
If the freezer coils are iced up, air cannot pass thru to the bottom fresh food section. You already said there was water dripping from the rear of the control housing which is an indication the drain is blocked. You must take the freezer panel off to get to it.
Check it and report back and we'll take it from there, thanks. _________________ Forum Rules |Parts |Donate |

The freezer coils where Iced over, I removed some of the frost from the chamber by hand but there was little change. After a hour I decided to just defrost the unit, and now it operating as good as new. The temp is normal food is cold as they should be....... Thank you so much for the help You guys are AWESOME!!

Well, the battle may be won for now, however it may be a hollow victory if the ice returns in a couple of weeks. I suspect you may have defrost issues, as this unit is designed to prevent such ice from forming automatically. It does this by means of a small timer in the refrigerator control section which turns on a heater unr the coils you defrosted. If the timer or the defrost heater is bad, the ice will return in a couple of weeks, evidenced by warmer temps in the refrigerator area.
If this happens, you may come back to learn more about how to repair the unit and which parts to buy. In fact, I will post a link below to show you some of the more common parts you might need. This refrigerator is made by Frigidaire for the Sears folks, and you might find a manual in the Manuals Forum for the top-mount refrigerators there to help you understand the mechanics of this kind of fridge.
