MDBH950AWS Maytag Quiet Series 100 will not work. The last time I tried to start it I selected "Normal Wash," the green LED came on as it should, but when I pressed Start, that LED would not come on. I then tried to press Delay Cycle and that LED came on, but Start still not work. I opened and closed the door, now no lights work at all. The locking handle seems to be working, and I checked the breaker box in the basement. I really can't tell if it is getting power. If I pull the machine out, will I know which wires to test with a voltmeter? Thanks--

I need the 1st 2 digits of the serial number to verify which unit you have, as they changed parts during production.

To answer your other question about power to the unit, you must have a voltmeter to begin with, then simply remove the bottom kickplet in front and check for 120 volts at the black and white wires on the power connection box on the right side.

22 are the first two digits of the s/n. Thanks again. Will check the voltage tonight.

If you indeed have good voltage at the connections below, then we can assume the control board has failed. The board for your model is shown below, and if you order it thru this link it can be returned if it does not solve the problem.
To access the control, remove the 10 Torx #20 screws around the inner door panel and lift it off, removing the dispenser wires so you can lay it aside. The control is under a black plastic shield that snaps off. Replacing it is pretty straightforward, but if you have any questions, use the Online Repair Manuals Forum to locate the Maytag Tall Tub Dishwasher manual to assist you, OK?

Checked good for power. Will order the control board tonight, may be Thursday or Friday before I can receive and install it. Thanks!

I installed the board. Now the only button that does anything is the Light Wash button (led comes on) and also brings on the LED's for Heated Dry and Extra Rinse. Then no buttons work until I hit the Normal Wash button which then lights up the Rinse Only Button, then the whole thing locks up. Then no buttons work for awhile, then you can repeat this process. No cycle ever began, just the LED's. I do not think this sequence of events mean anything in particular, only that something is not right. I double checked the connections.
I work in aircraft maintenance and I know the frustration of replacing a radar circuit board for troubleshooting, only to find that the new board was also bad. Do you think this is a possibility, or do you have another suggestion? Thanks again.

Actually I run into this problem in the field quite often. The board was shorted because the actual control panel (touch pad ) was failed also. When I did warranty work for Maytag, they recommended replacing both parts if one was bad, although I hesitate to recommend this now that I am independent to save my customers money if possible. It seems that in this case, both items will be needed to make it work like new.

With new control board and touch pad everything works great! I also found the manual on your website for future reference. I called a couple places and what I paid for parts would have only paid for their service call without parts...Thanks for the help!
