|
|
| I have a GE Electric stove #JBP22 that has a developed a problem where the timer -clock buzzer goes off at certain times. Now the actual clock time is not correct but the timer is set to the "off" position. But for some unknown reason it will go off. Its driving me crazy, could the problem really be the incorrect time? This is a old model stove and I'm thinking just disconnect the clock entirely. |

Well, you have two choices...disconnect it or replace it. Giving me only a piece of the model number is not helping either of us... _________________ FAST-MOVING PARTS | Ask the Repairman |

Much betta!
Looks like you will have to disconnect the thing, since none have been available for 8 years. There is a black wire (among others) that can be singled out and cut from the clock to stop it from annoying you. Just tape it out of the way. _________________ FAST-MOVING PARTS | Ask the Repairman |

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling no parts would be available for this thing and right now just cant afford a new stove. Besides I use a separate timer
There are two torx screws on top of the stove (above the clock) is that the access? |

NO! Those are the mounting screws. You must first unplug the range, then pull it out and remove the small upper rear panel covering the switches and controls. Then isolate the clock from the circuit by removing and taping the white (Neutral ) wires from the clock will suffice in disabling it without affecting the oven. _________________ FAST-MOVING PARTS | Ask the Repairman |
