I heard the dishwasher running, but it sounded funny. Opened it up and there is no water. None. Disconnect the water lines all the way to a little blue plastic box with an electrical plug in the bottom of it.
When I turned that over, a handful of lime deposit spilled out of the hose end connection. Does that need replacing now or can I just clean it out with vinegar and still use it? If it needs replacing where is the best place to get parts?
I appreciate any advice. |

Markbo, your description sounds very much like a clogged water valve.
Your vinegar cleansing approach might work.
The best effort would be to replace the water valve with a new valve.
Without your model number I do not know which valve to recommend.
Please go to the PARTS topic and post your model number. Order the valve from this site.If it does not resolve your problem you can return the valve for a refund. |

Actually I require a valid model number from EACH poster. Then the correct machine can be viewed for the best advice, including a parts suggestion. On this forum a part is offered for each visitor after a satisfactory explanation of the problem is presented.
Thanks for volunteering to answer questions for visitors, but let's keep to the rules, thanks. Markbo, I need the model number, please.
Also, check inside the tub under the float cup, located on the right corner in front. This acts as a shut off device when the tub is full. If a fork or bottle cap lodges under it, water cannot enter the tub. The cup must float up and down freely about 1/2" _________________ FAST-MOVING PARTS | Ask the Repairman |
