My model # is: 110 64972 301 and my problem is the start switch, if I hold the switch down it runs fine...if I let go it stops, I'm guessing it's the switch it's self, please help.

Probably not the switch, and I prefer not to guess. Usually it is a bad motor relay, found inside the control panel. There is an identical relay in there which controls the heat. There is also a wiring diagram up there that you can use if you want to test the switch, board and whatever before you take my advice blindly and order the relay. A quick test in the field is to swap relays with the heater. If it runs then, you know what the issue is fer sure.

Motor Relay- click to order

....one more question to you, my dryer sits in a very tight cubby with the washer....does the control panel come off the dryer to get inside it with out pulling it out? If so, how does it come off? Thanks again for your help!

Glad you asked...fortunately the control panel simply flips up so you can se the components after removing 2 screws from the edge of the control panel. They are most likely in back at the corners of the console where it sits on the main top. Once these are removed, the whole font panel merely pulls forward and lifts up out of the way to expose all the parts. Be sure you unplug the dryer first!
