Frigidaire front loader washing machine, model # GLTF1670AS, does not dispense softener. It does dispense bleach. Cleaned the holes. I have replaced the solenoid switch unit, still doesn't work. No apparent damage to wires or plug to that solenoid. What's the next logical step?
Thanks,
Brad. |

Which "solenoid switch are you talking about specifically...and refer to the diagram below:

That would be #36 on the IPB - the double solenoid that controls water flow thru the bleach & softener "trays".

Naturally, a tech would be looking for proper voltage at the dispenser during the rinse part of the cycle, as this is when the dispenser moves water thru the softener area. If voltage is present and there is also agood flow of cold water being let into the machine, the dispenser should dispense. If not, the next step would be to replace the dispenser itself, shown below. If no voltage is present at the solenoid for the softener, then you have control issues in the timer.
Your tech sheet is inside the lower panel on the wall if you want to check voltages and timer sequences for yourself. If you download the Frigidaire Gallery Manual, the softener diagnostic chart is on page 49.
