LG Electronics USA announced the opening of the LG Training Academy in Roswell, GA, U.S., to support LG's commercial air-conditioner business. At 16,000 sq ft, the facility has the capability to train hundreds of engineers, contractors, and technicians each month.

The training academy also houses the company's local operations for LG Mobile Phones and LG Digital Appliances. The location now has a total of 30 employees and plans to hire additional staff in 2009.
