can you use a different model washing machine timer on this washer and what all types will work on model # LSR5232LQ1?

Unfortunately only one particular timer was designed for this machine and it was made specifically for the various cycles and timing increments on the front panel. Every model has different features, such as water temp, spin speeds, extra rinses, etc.

If all washers had the exact same features, then you could randomly substitute timers amongst them with impunity. If you were to plug a different timer into this machine, the cycles would not match up to what is printed on the control panel....in other words, it might spin when it should be filling, etc.

Are you asking this question because you have had repeated timer failure, or what?

it goes fine through the cycles till rinse then you have to move it forward alittle and that is on all washes
and the timer ? the other washer is also a whirlpool washer with same settings
