mfg date 03/2002
Water in the door stop working, but the ice maker is still working. The line is not kinked from the source or in the refrigerator. I also change the water filter but that was no help. |

More than likely the water reservoir in the fresh food section behhind the lower crisper drawers is frozen up. Try thawing the reservoir for 5 minutes with a hair dryer to warm it up. Then, turn up your cold control to a higher setting to prevent freezing. Many manufacturers have this issue besides Whirlpool, especially during low ambient temperatures of winter time.
If thawing the reservoir does not restore the water flow, the water valve in back may possible have a bad solenoid. These are not at all expensive and are easy to replace. |
