Dryer won't spin, has a burnt smell when I try to turn it on, just makes a noise, like it wants to turn but can't.
By the way thanks for helping me fix my washer about a year ago. Haven't had a problem since. |

Great!, well, we're gonna get the dryer going too, although it will take some delving into first. Drop down to the Repair Manuals Forum and see the Maytag Dryers library. In there is your Slope-Front dryer manual. As always, unplug the dryer before starting any repairs.
The front panel will be removed so you can pull the drum and check for something in the fan or just a locked motor. It would help me to know if the dryer ever became sluggish to start, particularly after several consecutive loads... _________________ FAST-MOVING PARTS | Ask the Repairman |
