Hi. I have a Maytag Neptune MDE4000. It was squeaking a lot and so I replaced both rollers (one of which clearly needed it) yay! but it is still making noise. In reading some other posts, I noticed that you recommended oiling the new rollers and I didn't do that. Do you think that could that be my problem? I would appreciate any insight as I am starting to feel very discouraged.
Also, your explanation on how to re-install the belt was the only one that made sense to me (after trying for about an hour) so thanks very much! |

The rollers and the idler pulley the belt loops around require occasional oiling. Any time a roller is replaced, it is mandatory to place a couple of drops of oil on the shaft before reassembling. Perhaps you should have asked about this before attempting the repair, yes?
If you need the correct oil for this job, it is available on this website.
