I wrote to you this morning about the Drum in the Washer
banging when washing and spinning. I checked the Drum
seems to hang down in the front and hitting something
underneath. Cannot get the srew out on front bottom
panel, only one on right. Left one is rusty and I might
have striped it. So I cannot look underneath. I would be
so grateful if you could tell me what it could be. I thank
you in advance for your help, Ann[/b] |

Unfortunately I don't have ESP and since you cannot access the innards, we are at a standstill until the panel can be removed. Even if I made some off the cuff suggestions, such a a leak or oil seepage, what can you do without access?
The panel screw will have to be drilled out and removed so the machine can be assessed. You will find a repair manual for this Frigidaire-made machine in the Repair Manuals Forum under the topic "Frigidaire Washers". It is the same as the Frigidaire Gallery manual and will give you a good idea of how the tub is suspended, etc. Personally, it sounds like the front struts have broken, and you'll find a kit for that HERE
