I was washing some rugs in my top load Amana LWA90A washer when it stopped in mid-cycle & notified me with a continuous repeated long beeping sound. I discovered the washer full of water. I've removed the rugs but can't get the washer to work again & it is still full of water. If I try a regular cycle the machine will hum for a few seconds & stop with a click. Then the timer numbers will flash a few times until it tries again with the hum & click. If I press the Spin Only button it will hum & stop with click only once & then repeat the continuous beeping again while the timer numbers flash. What is wrong?

Found the problem. Took off the pump and noticed one of my wife's socks wrapped around the inside. Damaged the belt but after replacing that I expect to be good to go.
