| Greeting, sorry if this has been discussed. The washer seems to be working fine. Fills, washes, and drains except there is no high speed spin. Machine seems to try to come up to speed but kicks out after a few seconds. Have not done any other repairs, just stopped spinning. Thanks in advance for any advice, Allan |

Since this topic has been so heavily discussed in this forum, you should have every suggestion I ever made on the subject. The best thing to do since you have not yet begun to check the machine is to open the top control panel and read the tech sheet which has been placed there behind the water pressure switch. It has a section on how to check for a no-spin condition and is very explicit. I welcome any questions you may have after you have performed the tests mentioned there.
If the door lock light comes on after the spin cycle starts, the battle is half-won.

Got a chance to do some checking.
1. Machine control boad looks OK with no sign of scourching or over heating
2. The "door lock light" does not come on
3. The wax motor does not extend, but there is power to it. The tech sheet recommends to replace it along with the door lock switch assembly. Not sure why the door lock assembly
4. with the machine in the spin mode and I manually close the spin enable switch, all seem to work.
How do I order the wax motor, Thanks

There is a direct link in my post above...if the wax motor doesn't do it, I carry the controls as well. _________________ FAST-MOVING PARTS | Ask the Repairman |

Just a update. I replaced the wax motor and all "seems" good, 8 sucessful loads with no dripping wet clothes. When the timer indicator gets to the spin area, the machine comes up on high speed and all "seems" good. I say "seems" as when the machine goes into each of the 3 rinse cycles it seems out of balance with tub only spinning for a few seconds, then thud, thud. When the timer indicator advances into the spin area, no thud and smooth high speed spin. For now all is good as hamper is empty. Thank you for the help and parts. |

Ater almost 3 weeks the machine has returned to no spin mode.
1. Door light comes on after about 30sec.
2. I checked for continuity of the door lock and spin enable switch at the micro swithes themselves and the 2 switches are OK.
3.The trouble shooting sheet says "if there is continuity across door lock, spin enable switch, check the wiring between the switch and the motor control terminal P3-7. How do you do this? I found the P3 connection on the control board . It goes on to say "if there is continuity in this wire, replace the control board" P3-7 to where?
Since I am checking for continuity I assuming the machine is not running, correct?
4. " if 120VAC is not present when the washer is running in a spin increment, check the wiring between the machine control and door lock wax motor (brown wire #14) If there is continuity between the door lock wax motor and the machine control terminal P7-4, replace the machine control" How do I do this?
5. Thanks for any help |

If replacing the wax motor seemed to help, this is telling us that the machine control also needs to be replaced. It does not mater that you cannot see any visible scorching on it, the board is obviously not doing its job. The machine control is the large board in the top console and is available at the link below
