model # TFX30PPBGWW
serial # DZ257783
im having problems fixing this fridge. i've already replaced the icemaker and water seloniod. still no ice. water pressure is good. i keep finding ice on the tube where the water go into the ice maker. i notice that the fan is always running, even with the door open. i believe that the reason there is no ice is because the ice on the tube is blocking the water flow but i dont understand why ice keeps forming in the tube. is it because of the fan always running?
if you could please help. |

If the fill tube is blocked anywhere in the line, no ice will be the complaint.
Many brands of refrigerators leave the fan running when the compressor is on, regardless of whether the door is open or not. Does not affect the ice thing...
What DOES affect it is turning the freezer below 0 degrees at the controls. If the unit is set too cold, it can freeze the fill tube. Use your thermometer to check. To see if your fill tube is clogged, blow thru the line from the water valve to the freezer....if you can't move air, neither can the valve deliver water. |

i checked the water line coming from the selonoid and made sure that it was not clogged. the fill tube gets ice every day. i checked the water filter and the water preassure. i will check how cold the freezer.

| I sometimes insulate those plastic tubes with foam sleeves or permatex to prevent freezing. |
