hi , i have a maytag neptune mah6700aww that was giving me a no drain code. so i pulled the pump cleaned the sludge out and it seems to pump the water out just fine now. but.. now it wont do anything but run the pump, after the door locks in any wash mode, it wont fill, it wont spin, it just keeps cycling the pump over and over again. i read how to put in in service mode and i got it to fill and agitate but thats it. and when i put it back in normal operation mode the door locked like it should and pumped the water out that was left in the tub just fine but wouldnt start the wash cycle, just the pump over and over again...im so frustrated with this damn thing now its been 2 days of me tinkering with it ....im not an appliance mechanic just a dumb ole auto tech....any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey, there's nothing dumb about auto mechanics...I respect you all these days. After all, don't you have to have a minmum of B.S. in Computer Science to make do these days? Smile

I suspect two scenarios here.

1.If the airline tubing from the pressure switch is clogged, it will not allow anything else to happen, since the switch contacts might not be opening/closing as they should. There is a tech sheet inside this machine as you know...with your diminished capabilitiy as a mechanic, you can still read a wiring diagram to measure OHMs at the pressure switch. It's just under the main top panel, in case you aren't familiar...
I usually remove the rubber hose from the switch first and try blowing donw into the bottom of the tub. If there is resistance, there may be the problem (buildup)

2. If the pressure switch checks out OK and the tubing is clear, the main control board is bad. Even though you can march it thru its paces by doing the Service Test, if it cannot perform on its own, the control is most likely bad.

Please give me the first 2 digits of your serial number so I can research this for you further...
