It points to a bad oven sensor or a bad electronic control (clock)

Since you did not provide a model number, it is difficult to estimate who actually made your oven. (Kenmore did not) Most likely it was Frigidaire, since they do have an F-10 fault code on their ovens. Here is an excerpt from the Frigidiaire manual regarding the code:
Quote:
(F10 only) Check Oven Sensor Probe & replace if necessary.
If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to
overheat when the power is reapplied, replace Electronic Control. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive

I have added the Frigidaire Oven diagnostic manual to my Online Manuals Forum. All you need to know....

There is one thing I would like to point out regarding self-clean ovens, and I say this from a repairman's standpoint:

Avoid the Self-Clean cycle if possible! Temperatures exceed 900 degrees inside the oven for several hours. This almost always causes failure of the oven sensors, control panels and other sensitive components after a few clean cycles. Plus, it costs a lot more money in terms of energy usage to perform this clean cycle. There are products out now by Easy Off which will clean the inside of Self-Cleaning ovens without harming the finish. That way minor spills and soil can be dealt with manually without always relying on a Self-Clean cycle. On my oven, I refuse to use the self-clean due to the problems it causes with my electronics.
