I have a kenmore elite 665.15953000, new tiles installed under the unit, the motor bottomed out and leaked, now unit won't power up....what could be the problem? |

Why do I get the feeling there's more to this than you are telling us?
Ok, so let's go back a bit...tiles were replaced, meaning that the unit was removed from under the counter, then re-installed?
And it was installed so as to cram the motor and pump against the floor, causing a leak?
Now, when you say the unit won't "power up", what does that mean? Is there no sound whatsoever from the dishwasher, and display lights on the console? |

| I have to admit the rubber seal popped on the inside of machine which prompted the leak, machine does not power on since, there is power to the machine I did check the hard line, but machine shows no sign of power ie:display, no noise, nothing. |

Likely the leak caused the motor to short. That's why there must be at least 1/2" clearance under the unit at all times. It's a given that dishwashers will leak eventually anyway, so we don't want our open electrical motors sitting in water.
If you have not tested the voltage personally with your voltmeter, there's no way of verifying power. Even if the motor shorted, the display should at least light up when the door is closed. That brings up another point...when re-installing the dishwasher, it is important to have it sit level on the floor, otherwise the door latch will not connect properly and no power will go to the controls.
My suggestion is to remove the wiring cover down under the lower panel where the house wiring connects and check your voltage and the wires there. If you can confirm 120 volts, we know you have power and can go further. |

Chances are you blew out the main control. If the unit is getting power and the door switch is good, then power is getting to the control, which should at least light up. If not the control is bad. Have fun |
