we are still having trouble with our DW, model # SHU3036UC/12. we replaced the heater, but still it won't heat the water, but the timer seems to be clicking (continuously) alot louder than I ever remember it clicking. could it be the timer? I hate to keep sinking money into a 7 year old DW |

There's more to the unit than just the heater. When I service a unit like this I always refer to the manufacturer's service manual. Although I cannot walk you thru the repairs here, I will provide the manual for you or someone technically inclined to review and commence checking your dishwasher. A volt/ohm meter and the expertise to use it is required. The manual shows you how to test the heater circuit from up at the control board, plus you can check the thermostats, etc while you're there. Nothing is left to guess if you follow the diagnostic guides there.
Bosch D/W Manual (dial-up connections may take awhile)
