Oven Sensor Testing

You'll need a Ohm Meter to check an Oven Sensor.       ovensensor.jpg (25924 bytes)

At 60 to 80 Degrees (room temp) it should Ohm out at 1000
Ω  to 1100 Ω  You can find the oven sensor inside of the oven cavity towards the top right or left corners. GE is in the center top of the cavity. It removes with a couple of screws, and the harness should pull thru far enough to dis-engage the connector. (Do not force the harness thru the hole, if it binds you must pull the oven to access the harness from behind). To check a fuse, use the ohm meter to check for continuity if so equipped. You can find most thermal fuses behind the clock or ERC  assembly.
