The following depicts the layout of an older model (pre-1984) Whirlpool or Kenmore washer.
Just remove the bolt in the center of the shaft holding the wigwag on, and it will lift up off of the two cam followers. Then, once free, remove the four wires, taking care to re-attach them exactly on the new wigwag. Reassemble in reverse order, taking care to engage both cam followers in the respective holes in the wigwag.
